No question about it. So when I came across this post from reddit.com I had to repost it to my blog here. I suggest linking through to the actual post itself to read the discussion that followed. It is definitely worth a read.<\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">I think it&#8217;s a good sign that young people have largely accepted the law regarding drinking and driving. Even those stupid enough to do it &#8211; in my experience &#8211; generally don&#8217;t think the law is a bad law or that drinking and driving is a good thing. They simply fail to act responsibly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">So the answer to OP&#8217;s question is that no, you are most definitely not alone. But sadly there are a LOT of people that still drink and drive. But if you aren&#8217;t concerned about the safety risk to yourself and to others that drinking and driving entails perhaps the financial investment you will need to make to recover from a DUI charge is enough to change your ways.<\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">From the people I&#8217;ve spoken to who have received a DUI the average financial investment required is about $10,000. And that&#8217;s if you plead guilty just to get it over with ASAP.<\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">Then you have to consider the burdens of having your driving privileges taken away as well as <a title=\"The Cost of a Pardon\" href=\"\/?page_id=6267\">the cost of a pardon<\/a> to have the record sealed 5 years down the road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">Don&#8217;t drink and drive.
